While several actors have played Batman and Superman, there’s only been one actor to play Wolverine on the big screen. If there was ever a guy to show total commitment to sticking with his character, that guy is Hugh Jackman. It’s hard to imagine that anybody else will ever play the Wolverine.
Hugh Jackman has played Wolverine in seven different comic book movies already. He has appeared as Wolverine in X-Men, X-Men 2, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men: First Class, The Wolverine, and X-Men: Days of Future Past. While it hasn’t been confirmed, Jackman is also expected to reprise his role as Wolverine in X-Men: Apocalypse and a sequel to The Wolverine. It also wouldn’t be surprising if Jackman showed up in a cameo in the Deadpool movie.
In addition to playing Wolverine for the last fourteen years, some of Jackman’s other notable movies include Kate & Leopold, Van Helsing, The Prestige, Real Steel, Les Miserables, and Prisoners.
Hugh Jackman was born on October 12, 1968 in Sydney, Australia. He turns 46 years old today.
Happy Birthday, Hugh Jackman!
