Stephen Colbert Man Of Steel

In a segment on The Colbert Report, host Stephen Colbert explained why he felt the movie Man Of Steel was destroying America. While Colbert is a huge fan of Superman, praising him as "an incredible handsome glasses wearing reporter who night after night uses his super powers to save America," he's angry about the Man Of Steel movie. Colbert points out that Superman is the quintessential American hero, but Warner Bros. gave the role to some limey named Henry Cavill. Colbert also doesn't like the scene from the trailer, where Superman tells Lois Lane that the symbol on his chest is not an "S" but that it means "hope." An outraged Colbert exclaims, "They are saying Superman in Obama." In addition to Man Of Steel, Stephen Colbert also has a problem with Iron Man 3. His issue with Iron Man 3 is that it got financing from a Chinese studio. Colbert points out that the filmmakers made a Chinese edition which changed the name of The Mandarin to "Man Daren." Colbert asks, "Why is Iron Man fighting the husband from Bewitched?"
