Rumor: Rebecca Ferguson Up For Captain Marvel Role

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation actress Rebecca Ferguson may be the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Captain Marvel.

A report from Heroic Hollywood has Ferguson at the top of Marvel's list of actresses for the role of Captain Marvel, though there was no confirmation of whether Marvel Studios has made her an offer.

As noted by HH, Ferguson was up for the role of Belladonna in Gambit, but passed to take a role in The Girl on the Train instead. It's possible that Ferguson passed on the supporting role in Gambit at least in part because he hopes to land the lead in Captain Marvel.
