Star Wars Episode 7: Harrison Ford To Reportedly Return As Han Solo

While rumors have been circulating for awhile that Harrison Ford will return as Han Solo for Star Wars Episode 7, there haven't been any news sites that have gone on record reporting it as a done deal. Director Kevin Smith did claim the original cast including Harrison Ford would return in a video posted on YouTube, but it was unclear if he had inside info or was just ranting about what he wanted to happen. Now, Fox News Latino is reporting that El Mayimbe of Latino Review is claiming that Harrison Ford will play Han Solo in Star Wars Episode 7. While the news should still be classified as rumor, Latino Review has been correct on a number of other big movie stories, particularly with Marvel Studios/Disney films. With Lucasfilm now owned by Disney, it's possible that El Mayimbe's sources have given him insight into the Star Wars franchise. In the Fox News interview, El Mayimbe states, "It's official Harrison Ford will reprise his role as Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars movies." Star Wars Episode 7 will be directed by J.J. Abrams, and according to recent statements from Disney's Bob Iger, the film is slated to be released sometime in the summer of 2015.
