Vin Diesel Is Really Excited About Groot In Guardians Of Galaxy Sequel

After touching the hearts of viewers by singing "See You Again" at the MTV Movie Awards, Vin Diesel provided a brief update on his status as Groot to MTV.

Vin Diesel joked that he had originally planned on incorporating Groot into his appearance at the MTV Movie Awards.

"I am Groot, guys. I was going to bring the Groot stilts. I was going to bring the Groot stilts," said Vin Diesel. After being told he should save it for a rainy day, Vin Diesel agreed, "Save it for a rainy day. Why do it now?"

In regards to returning as Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, Vin Diesel said, "I'm hearing really cool things about what we can expect from Groot. James Gunn is so excited. And every time I talk to James Gunn, you hear the excitement in his voice and that makes me excited."

Vin Diesel added, "I'm really excited about having an opportunity to work with the whole Guardians of the Galaxy family. And Marvel has been really cool. And everything's just really cool."

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on May 5, 2017.
