A new episode of Game of Thrones will air this Sunday, June 19th on HBO.
The episode, entitled “Battle of the Bastards,” promises plenty of drama. The official description reads: “Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) surprises his audience. Jon (Kit Harington) retaliates. Dany (Emilia Clarke) is true to her word.”
Written by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, “Battle of the Bastards” promises fans epic action as the episode appears to center on the growing conflict between Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton.
The episode’s teaser trailer shows plenty of blood and carnage as the two Northern bastards face-off alongside their legion of supporters. Ramsay, who’s horrific use of violence, seems prepared to sacrifice as many lives as needed to destroy Jon Snow. The preview begins with a shot Snow riding towards Ramsay’s armed frontline, and a voice-over can be heard of him saying, “Battles have been won against greater odds. I fought beyond the Wall against worse than Ramsay Bolton.” The scene then shifts to Sansa as she confronts her brother before the battle and warns the older man, “You don’t know him.”
Considering Sansa was forced to marry the controversial villain, it seems likely she knows what she’s speaking about then.
The preview is filled with ominous music and dark shadows as Game of Thrones prepares to air one of their most violent, action-packed episodes to-date. Video is show of the two armies clashing as horses fall, soldiers are speared, and the two Northern leaders fight to end one another’s control.
