Classic Disney Characters Reimagined In Big Hero 6 Style

In celebration of this weekend's release of Big Hero 6, the latest feature-length film from Walt Disney Animation Studios, the Oh My Disney blog has posted a number of images of classic Disney Animation characters redesigned as though for manga and anime.

Big Hero 6, based loosely on Marvel Comics, features heavy Japanese influence, both in the comics and the film.

Above, you can see Maleficent and the Fairy Godmothers; below, check out redesigns for Winnie the Pooh, Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Dumbo.

While none of these images look particularly like the actual designs in the Big Hero 6 Marvel Comics or movie, there are also a few pages included on the OMD blog from a Big Hero 6 manga release, apparently adapted from the film rather than the comics, that features a style more akin to what's seen here.
