Todd McFarlane today debuted a new Image Expo poster via his Facebook page, revealing what appears to be character  sketches for an animated version of Spawn, and teased a new title that he's apparently been working on for quite some time which will be announced there.

In a post attached to the image above, he told fans to look for some big announcements at Image Expo this week, including details on the forthcoming Spawn #250, which he described as the "single biggest issue we've done since the existence of the Spawn title."

He said that he'll also be introducing a new title that will be arriving in stores in early 2015.

"I will give all the details later this week," McFarlane wrote. "It's an idea that I've had for a while... and it's finally coming to fruition. Plus all the issues of this initial 8-issue mini-series are COMPLETELY done. That's right...over 180 pages of the story are finished."

While the image above may look like animation concept art, it's not guaranteed that it is -- or that, if it is, anything official will come out about any animated projects. McFarlane plans to use it as a poster for his signing on January 8th from 4-5 p.m. at the Expo.
