Community Season 6 Premiere Date Announced

Human Beings will be happy to hear that the premiere date for Community Season 6 has been announced.

Yahoo announced, at the TCA press tour, that Community Season 6 will premiere with two new episodes on March 17, available to view through the Yahoo Screen streaming service. New episodes will be released weekly, on Tuesdays. The season will consist of 13 episodes in total.

Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Jim Rash, and Ken Jeong will all reprise their roles from season past. Paget Brewster and Keith David are new additions to the cast, with the former playing Frankie Dart, a consultant trying to improve Greendale, and the latter playing Elroy Patashnik, a retired scientist.

Following NBC's cancellation of Community, after the fifth season, several outlets vied for the series. Yahoo came out on top, signing the deal on the same day the actors' contracts were set to expire.

Original series creator Dan Harmon is on board for the show's sixth season, which will fulfill at least the part of the show's "six seasons and a movie" rallying cry. No news yet on the second part.
