The Walking Dead Town Up For Sale On Ebay

A portion of a Georgia town that was used as a filming location by The Walking Dead is being sold on eBay. Downtown Grantville is up for sale, with an asking price of $680,000.

The area is owned by former city mayor Jim Sells, who purchased it during the recession. The area has been in an economic downturn since the textile jobs left the city behind. Now the biggest industry in the city is tourists retracing the steps of the cast from The Walking Dead, and Sells is hoping somebody else can turn the place around.

"The hard work has been done," Sells tells USA Today, referring to renovations. "We're looking for somebody to put it all into action.

"Our main industry right now is Walking Dead tourists. We have people coming from all over the world because of The Walking Dead. That's paying the bills downtown."
