Ryan Phillippe Is Talking To Marvel About A Netflix Role

Ryan Phillippe is getting a lot of attention for his lead role in Secret & Lies, and now he says Marvel is opening up a dialog for a potential role in a Netflix series.

Phillippe doesn't mention any particular characters he might be in talks to play, so speculate away there. The only lead role that remains uncast is Danny Rand in Iron Fist, but it may be more likely that he'll play a supporting or villain role if these talks bear fruit.

Keep in mind that he only says that he is talking to Marvel. It's entirely possible that these talks will amount to nothing. For example, Phillippe also reveals in the interview that he was in talks, at one point, to play Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars and Harvey Dent in one of the Batman movies. Clearly those talks didn't bear fruit.
