Victoria Justice (Victorious) and Ryan McCarten (Liv and Maddie) have landed lead roles in Fox's Rocky Horror Picture Show remake starring Laverne Cox (Orange Is the New Black) as Dr. Frank-N-Furter.
According to Deadline, Justice will play the demure Janet Weiss and McCarten will play uptight Brad Majors. The couple were originally played by Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick in the 1975 cult-classic.
Filming is expected to begin sometime this winter. Additionally, Reeve Carney (Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark) and Staz Nair have also landed roles in it, but no details were provided on their roles.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show follows sweethearts Janet Weiss and Brad Majors, who stumble upon Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s bizarre abode. Frank-N-Furter, a sexually ambiguous flirtatious alien mad-scientist, is holding an annual, Transylvanian science convention to showcase the birth of “Rocky Horror” – a fit, attractive man created solely to fulfill Frank's desires.
The two-hour Rocky Horror Picture Show event will air in the fall of 2016 on Fox.
