In spite of having had a fairly limited role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe post-Captain America: The Winter Soldier, former S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury will pop back up in Thor: Ragnarok, according to Gold Coast Bulletin.

The film is in pre-production near where Skull Island, which starred Thor: Ragnarok's Tom Hiddleston, was recently in production, and the local press are saying they've heard Hiddleston won't be returning alone.

Chris Hemsworth will return as Thor, joined by Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif and franchise newcomer Cate Blanchett as Hela, when Thor: Ragnarok begins filming in June.

The film is expected in theaters on November 3, 2017.
