Falcon Widow

As many fans pine for Actress Scarlet Johansson to finally get her Black Widow solo film, the support isn't just from outside of Marvel Studios.

Actor Anthony Mackie, who plays Falcon in the Marvel films, also supports the idea, and in fact wants to take it one step further. In Captain America: Civil War, the two start out on opposing sides, but Mackie still thinks Widow could use some help in the sky.

He told HitFix's Emily Rome: "Well, I think Black Widow needs a little bit of aerial support!"

That is his specialty mind you, and the two's skill-sets would go together quite well. For Makie, it doesn't really matter in what capacity the movie uses him. He just wants to be a part of it, saying: "I would love, in any capacity, to be a part of that. I've always been a huge fan of Scarlett's, and I've always, since I met her, just really admired her as a person. So in whatever capacity I would be used — Falcon would fly for Black Widow."

Directors of Civil War The Russo Brothers have also previously gone on record that they would love to work with the character if given the chance, saying:

"Joe Russo: Hell yeah! We love that character"

"Anthony Russo: And we love Scarlett."

"Joe Russo: We find that the character is one of if not the richest character in the Marvel universe. A very complex character, haunted by demons and her understanding of the world is fascinating. I think there is a lot that can be done with that character."

If the project does happen, the Russo's know they can always call on Falcon to lend a helping hand.
