Cable Edge

The Rated R Superstar, known as Edge (real name Adam Copeland), has been having quite the time on his new show "The Edge and Christian Show That Totally Reeks of Awesomeness" with fellow wrestler Christian on the WWE Network.

Always the planner, it hasn't stopped the former WWE superstar from pondering about what other projects he could take on in the future. Recently a tweet from Christina Freeman caught his attention. The tweet said: "I'd like to see @EdgeRatedR as Cable for the @deadpool movie sequel. #Marvel Think it would be really interesting."

In response, the star typed: "Yeah I could (get) behind that."

The star certainly has the demeanor to pull the role off, and with Deadpool Director Tim Miller at the helm, having someone who is used to being witty on the fly would most likely be a plus.

He isn't the only person who's expressed interest in the role either. Recently Ron Perlman referenced the part, saying "I'm the only one with Cable's friggin HAIR!". Stephen Lang threw his hat into the ring with a post on Twitter saying: "Let's lay some CABLE. You know I want it. This is pre-training. Thanks for spreading the word #Deadpool."

As for Cable creator Rob Liefeld, he has his own dream casting. He tweeted out a photoshopped mockup of Mad Men star Jon Hamm as Scott Summer's son, and it was actually pretty convincing, but Hamm isn't the biggest fan of superhero flicks so that probably won't happen. So many choices, but we'll just have to wait and see.
