While many derive hours of enjoyment unlocking the next big perk, weapon, or costume in your current game of choice, there is a similar rush of giddiness when you buy your Xbox Avatar a new Iron Man helmet or Remote Controlled Mass Effect Mako.

After making the Avatars a substantial part of the Xbox experience on the 360, the initial Xbox One vision relegated them to the backburner. At this point, though, pretty much everything about the initially bungled launch has been changed and repurposed, and Avatars have been restored to prominent role.

With that focus restored, fans have sent a number of requests Microsoft's way, including features like wheelchairs (via Eurogamer). Half the fun is making your on-screen Avatar look as close to you as possible, and wheelchair users want to have the same options. Xbox Chief Phil Spencer responded to one of these requests, where he tweeted "@goldennike11 @SeamusBlackley No petition needed, we hear you. This is something that we've already looked at, not far off."

His tweet was followed by another post from Mike Ybarra, who works on the Xbox & Windows Gaming Platform team. Ybarra shared a sneak peek at their progress, and the wheelchair comes with green highlights in the wheel and a Xbox symbol flag.

It's a great inclusion, and hopefully, we will hear a release date for these new options soon.
