The Guardians of the Galaxy films feature an incredibly talented cast, but as anyone in the film industry will tell you, each one of those actors also has a stand-in during production, and director James Gunn decided to compare the two on Twitter.

Gunn posted a comparison shot of the final film Guardians on top of the stand-in Guardians, and it's quite a sight. The stand-ins for Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista), and Gamora (Zoe Saldana) are actually rather faithful, but Groot and Rocket? Not so much (via EW).

With those two being mostly special effects, it makes sense that they would go all out with the costuming. It is hilarious to see Rocket represented by a shirt with a raccoon face on it and Groot only represented by a Groot-faced helmet, which needs to be part of their merchandising campaign.

Set to the backdrop of 'Awesome Mixtape #2,' Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill's true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes' aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Doctor Strange opens November 4, 2016; Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – May 5, 2017; Spider-Man: Homecoming– July 7, 2017; Thor: Ragnarok – November 3, 2017; Black Panther – February 16, 2018; Avengers: Infinity War – May 4, 2018; Ant-Man and the Wasp – July 6, 2018; and Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019.
