Billy Crystal Brings City Slickers To Westworld

by Jay Jayson

Billy Crystal (When Harry Met Sally) and Daniel Stern (Home Alone) reprise their roles from City Slickers for a new Westworld parody video from Funny or Die—which includes appearances from three cast members of the HBO television series: Luke Hemsworth, Ptolemy Slocum, and Angela Sarafyan.

It reimagines the 1991 western comedy film—about ordinary guys learning to become real-life cowboys—as a narrative in the futuristic theme park and Mitch Robbins (Crystal) and Phil Berquist (Stern) are both hosts (a.k.a. androids). Mitch starts to malfunction, now shooting Phil each time his nerdy and needful friend gets on his nerves. Stubbs (Hemsworth) and Sylvester (Slocum) try to figure out what's causing Mitch's muderous glitch, but when neither is successful and both have grown tired of Mitch witty remarks, they send Mitch and Phil to cold storage. There, they meet the beguiling Clementine Pennyfeather (Sarafyan), who offers her services to Mitch for a bargain basement price.

CitySlickers-Westworld

The one-hour drama series Westworld is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin. Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, it explores a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.
