What Are The 'Justice League' Box Office Predictions Looking Like?
DC Films has put out very few films with as much riding on them as Justice League. As fans know, [...]
The Good
Justice League has plenty riding on it, and the movie has a lot of bank to earn if reviews turn out favorable. If the ensemble flick wins fans over a la Wonder Woman rather than Suicide Squad, Forbes writes that Justice League could debut between $133-166 million. With the Thanksgiving holiday to follow its premiere, Justice League would be set for holdover into its second weekend, and the money will come rolling in.
Thanks to its franchise roots, Justice League can expect a sustained box-office run by its branding alone. Forbes' optimistic prediction for the movie uses Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to multiply Justice League's earnings. If the weekend-to-final multiplier rests around 2.8, then the DCEU film could rake in about $448 million domestically if it pulls in $160 million to start.
In its realistic optimistic run, Forbes finds that Justice League is more likely to earn big at its debut and enjoy a smaller multiplier. The site closes the film's overall box-office run at $403 million domestic and just under $1 billion worldwide.

Every positive reaction must have a negative to balance it out. When it comes to the box-office, Forbes has set out a piece which imagines a worst-case scenario for Justice League, but it isn't all doom and gloom.
Thanks to Wonder Woman's success, Justice League isn't a make-or-break feature the DCEU. Still, fans expect a lot from the movie, and Warner Bros. would love to continue the franchise's good press coming out of the summertime blockbuster.
An insanely poor turnout for Justice League will see it open to Wonder Woman numbers. The film could debut to $105 million and have a domestic multiplier of 2.0 like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. If Justice League makes up less than 50% of its gross from international markets, then the film ends up with $412 million worldwide. However, as Forbes writes, this scenario is rather unlikely.
A more realistic expectation would see Justice League earn between $128-133 million at debut and then have a higher multiplier. Forbes' final calculation brings the worst-case scenario for Justice League to $843 million if it enjoys to a top-tier premiere. However, if the film debuts as the towards the $128 million mark, Justice League could finish its run with a $678 million savings.
