The highly anticipated Sword Art Online movie Ordinal Scale has been receiving a lot of attention and advertising in America and Japan. Starting next month there will be an event for Sword art super fans to enjoy, a tour. H.I.S. International Tours and the World Cosplay summit have announced that there will be a tour centered on the premiere of Sword art Online's new movie.

The tour will highlight the indoor amusement park Joypolis in the anime mecca of Akihabara, visit the production studio of A-1 Pictures, and a dinner event with author Reki Kawahara accompanied by a performance by theme senger LiSA. For the tour, the artist turned the main characters, Kirito and Asuna, into tour guides to accompany you on the adventure.

The film is set to take place after the second season of the anime series, in which Kirito, Asuna, and friends start playing a new game. The new game is known as OS, or Ordinal scale, and is based in augmented reality rather than virtual reality. The players in the game are ranked by their achievements, and low ranks are highly disadvantages in the game especially in duels against high ranks. But things start to get weird when monsters from the original game they are trapped in start to appear.

The three-day tour will take place in February and Sword Art Online Ordinal scale is set to release on February 18 in Japan and March 9, 2017 in the United States.
