With the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure live-action film on the horizon, the series creator has now shared his perspective.

Fans of the hero with a hairdo had plenty of reason to be excited after seeing the trailers for the upcoming film (which you can watch above) but series author Hirohiko Araki is making exciting promises for Jojo fans. The statement, released on the official Jojo's Bizarre Adventure page, is below.

"In the coming August, JoJo's film will be finally released. I think there are some manga readers who have felt very anxious about it along with great expectations, but the high completion level of the film far exceeds your anticipation. The character building by the protagonists and others dominate the scenes overwhelmingly with cinematic suspense. The CG and the soundtrack music are also amazing enough to make the film more exciting. Please enjoy the film breathlessly this summer. Thank you very much."

The first live-action chapter of Jojo's journey, which arrived in Japan on August 4, is based on the fourth story arc of Araki's Jojo's Bizarre Adventure manga. The film is directed by 56-year-old Takashi Miike who previously helmed Yatterman and Terra Formars.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable - Chapter 1 stars Ryunosuke Kami, Nana Komatsu, Jun Kunimura, Mackenyu, Kento Yamazaki, Yusuke Iseya, and Takayuki Yamada.

Jojo's Bizare Adventure is one of many popular anime and manga properties getting live-action treatment. Full Metal Alchemist arrives in live-action form in Japan on December 1, while Attack on Titan received a pair of films in 2015.
