Warning! Spoilers for Dragon Ball Super episodes 109-110 lie below!

If you sat down for Dragon Ball Super's latest episodes, then you know the special ended with an interesting twist. The one-hour event was dedicated to the battle between Jiren and Goku, but the Saiyan found himself beaten by the Universe 11 warrior. However, a new fighter challenged Goku before Jiren could think of pursuing the hero - and fans aren't sure if it was intentional.

Dragon Ball Super fans watched as Hit stepped to Jiren after the Pride Trooper sent Goku flying. The Saiyan had fallen out of his recently acquired transformation when Hit charged at Jiren. Some fans wondered if the Universe 6 fighter was stepping in to keep Jiren's mind off Goku while the hero was weakened, but that does not seem like the case.

During the pair's exchange, Jiren barely gives Hit a glance when the fighter tries to attack him. When Hit is finally asked about what he was trying to do, the assassin simply said he was doing his job. The gods spectating the event said the strategy Hit showed was a good one; After all, fighters are at their most vulnerable when they believe they've won a fight.

However, Jiren isn't any old fighter.

Hit's sneak attack was blocked by Jiren, and the Pride Trooper did not even have to look at the other fighter to stop it. Next week, fans are slated to see the pair fight for real, but Hit will find himself in trouble when it special Time Skip move fails to hinder the leader of Universe 11's team. You can check out the synopsis for "Extreme Battle of Another Dimension! Hit vs Jiren!!" below:

"Universe 6's Hit and Universe 11's Jiren finally clash. Though Hit successfully paralyzes Jiren by evolving Time-Skip, Jiren breaks through this with stupendous power. He then concentrates a ki blast in his hand to attack Hit with."
