Marvel Announces Next Avengers Creative Team!

February 2, 2010 · By Nick Winstead · Posted in Avengers, Marvel Comics

As the heroes, villains and villains pretending to be heroes slog through the battle that currently is “Siege”, Marvel has begun sewing the seeds of its upcoming relaunch of the entire Avengers franchise.  This move includes canceling all the current Avengers titles, such as Mighty, Dark, New, and Initiative. A big question still hovers: who will be leading the creative forces behind the relaunch!  We’re so glad you asked, because we have your answer right here!

None other than Brian Michael Bendis and John Romita Jr. will helm the new Avengers team, which has already confirmed that Bucky’s Captain America will be present.  Bendis has had his hands deep in the Avengers universe for years now, so his selection is a natural fit.  Romita Jr. is no stranger to the host of heroes Marvel has to offer, having worked previously on World War Hulk, Daredevil, Uncanny X-Men, and Kick-Ass to name a few.  It’s safe to say that this latest launch, scheduled for May 2010, is in capable hands!
