The cover of Entertainment Weekly's summer movie preview should bring a smile to the faces of Superman fans. Comicbook.com had been hearing rumors that Warner Bros. would finally start to kick off their Man of Steel marketing campaign in earnest in mid-April, and this new EW cover seems to confirm those rumors. While the summer movie preview features info on 109 new films, it's Superman that gets the coveted cover slot. EW is also teasing plenty of Man of Steel content on the inside of the issue, which hits newsstands later this week. In fact, EW has already revealed a couple of spoilers, so here's a rundown if you want to know. There will be no Kryptonite in Man of Steel. Young Kal-El was considered a special child even on his home planet of Krypton. Jonathan and Martha Kent are against Clark using his powers even in dire emergencies. Man of Steel presents the frustrated Superman, the angry Superman, the lost Superman, and the passionate Superman. EW has also seen some more extensive footage of the Man of the Steel. According to EW, Man of Steel "has plenty of building-smashing, train-slinging, heat-vision-blasting battles to cut through the emotional heaviness."
