Green Lantern #20

After nearly a decade working on Green Lantern in a run that redefined the character and set the sales and acclaim standard for all DC books to follow, DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns will move on in May, leaving the title to Robert Venditti and the direction of DC's most consistently well-reviewed book up in the air. DC Comics have provided a look at his final issue, along with some thoughts from Johns on ending his epic run with an oversized issue that features contributions from a number of big-name artists and a retrospective look at his Green Lantern run penned by Johns himself. "I'm extremely grateful for being able to conclude our run on Green Lantern with this monster of an issue," Johns said. "I'm moving on feeling very proud of what my creative collaborators and I have done over the years with the Green Lantern universe. Thanks to all the readers out there who've been with us for this adventure. I can't wait until #20 is in your hands -- the last several pages in particular." The special, oversized issue will feature a 66-page story, including 55 pages of art by series artist Doug Mahnke and special guest appearances by fan-favorite artists Ethan Van Sciver, Ivan Reis, Patrick Gleason, Cully Hamner, Aaron Kuder, Jerry Ordway, and more. DC promises that "the final four story pages will make your head explode!" Check out the preview pages below.
