Take this one with a grain of salt big enough to tip you over, but it's out there. British tabloid newspaper The Sun is reporting that Florence Welch of the pop act Florence and the Machine is in line for a major role in Star Wars Episode VII. A source the paper calls a "Star Wars insider" told them, "We think Florence has the exact style we are looking for. "She has done some acting but it was her singing on stage that initially caught the eye. "Almost every actress in Hollywood wants a role in the new movies but we are keen to cast people who are unexpected. "Florence is being considered for a major part that would turn her into an A-list actress overnight." They also claim that Michael Jackson's children Prince and Paris "are pushing for auditions." While J.J. Abrams didn't cast unknowns when he was charged with reinventing Star Trek, it's arguable that he would consider doing so with Star Wars since so much of the first cast have never truly escaped those roles, giving the movies a unique feeling that they really are their own little universe, excepting Harrison Ford.
