Doctor Who Announcement Not Coming This Weekend

by Russ Burlingame

Doctors WhoDepite reports to the contrary that surfaced yesterday courtesy a British sci-fi magazine, the BBC will make no announcement today regarding the casting of the next Doctor Who, the network confirmed.

Starburst yesterday claimed that the shortlist for the new Doctor had been narrowed to three--Captain America: The First Avenger's Dominic Cooper, Dredd's Domhnall Gleeson and Kick-Ass 2's Daniel Kaluuya--with a British newspaper set to spoil the surprise completely in tomorrow's newspaper.

As a result, they claimed, the BBC would have their hand forced and would make an announcement today in order to control the news.

At present, it's unclear whether it's true that any newspaper has inside information, or the intent to use it, but the BBC have said that they won't be releasing any information with regard to the next Doctor just yet.
