John Stewart Gets A Fatal Wound On Cover Of Green Lantern Corps #22

DC Comics might not be planning to kill off John Stewart, but they are giving him a fatal wound on the cover of Green Lantern Corps #22. Back in March rumors surfaced that there were plans for Green Lantern John Stewart to die, but the publisher later denied that John Stewart was going anywhere. Green Lantern Coprs #21 even poked fun at the death rumors with John Stewart proudly announcing, "Sorry...I'm not dying today!" Now, in Green Lantern Corps #22, DC Comics appears to be having some more fun with the rumor by showing John Stewart with a purple spear straight through the center of his chest, while teasing the title "Fatal Wounds." We're assuming that John Stewart manages to somehow survive getting pierced through the heart with a purple spear, but you never know, maybe all those John Stewart death rumors were true after all. Green Lantern Corps #22 is written by Robert Venditti and Van Jensen with art by Bernard Chang. Green Lantern Corps #22 is scheduled to arrive in comic book stores on Wednesday, July 10, 2013.
