Entertainment Tonight has released a behind-the-scenes look at the music of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Henry Jackman, the film's composer, wanted to take the music into different and unexpected territory, to remove Captain America from the assumptions that he belongs in a certain past era, such as World War II. "It's tempting to always associate Captain America with the American 1950s and the second World War," said Jackman, "and kind of a period, but what's interesting about what Joe and Anthony Russo have done with this film, they definitely pushed it into a more psychologically credible, more realistic kind of an area." This isn't Jackman's first time scoring a comic book inspired film. He's also responsible for the film scores to X-Men: First ClassKick-Ass, and G.I. Joe Retaliation. You can check out our own interview with Henry Jackman here. In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and battles a new threat from old history: the Soviet agent known as the Winter Soldier. Captain America: The Winter Soldier comes to theaters April 4.
