Rumor: Fantastic Four Film Casts "Young" Ben Grimm, Reed Richards

While many fans have complained that the cast of 20th Century Fox's upcoming Fantastic Four reboot are too young for the roles they're playing, given the characterization of those comic book superheroes on the printed page, the studio is apparently flashing back to a point earlier in their lives and have reportedly cast "young" versions of two of the heroes.

It sounds like, assuming the reports are accurate, the pair will be depicted as childhood friends with Mary Rachel Dudley appearing as Reed's mom, Owen Judge as Ree dand Evan Hannemann as Ben.

Of course, this news comes via the Internet Movie Database, a user-generated content site, via Comic Book Movie. There could be as much truth to these reports as there were to Cobie Smulders being a Skrull.

The revelation comes as part of a story that Fox is cordoning off parts of Baton Rouge for filming in the coming days.
