Avengers: Age Of Ultron's Robert Downey Jr. Tops Forbes List Of Highest Earning Actors With $75 Million

The poster boy for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Robert Downey Jr., has topped Forbes' list of top earning actors from the past year (June 2013 to June 2014). The Iron Man and Avengers star earned and estimated $75 million during that time period.

As expensive as he is, Downey seems like money well spent for Marvel Studios. Marvel Studios films featuring Downey have brought in nearly $4 billion at the box office, not to mention millions more in home video sales and merchandising.

Downey isn't the only Marvel Studios star to make the list. Thor: The Dark World star Chris Hemsworth made his first appearance on Forbes' annual list at #5 after earning $37 million. Bradley Cooper, who is about to debut as Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy, also made the list after earning $46 million.

Downey will bring in his next Marvel payday in Avengers: Age of Ultron, opening May 1, 2015.
