In the Season Three teaser for Arrow, what appears to be a presentation by new Queen Consolidated honcho Ray Palmer would rebrand Starling City as "Star City," the name of Green Arrow's hometown in the DC Comics source material.

The change from Star City to Starling City in the TV series was a surprisingly controversial one, with some fans taking it as emblematic that the show was unwilling to embrace some of the more fanciful aspects of the Green Arrow mythology (see also: boxing glove arrows and goatees).

Arrow returns on October 8 with a new season, which guest stars Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) as Ray Palmer and a raft of high-profile actors in supporting roles.
