Tobin Bell Reflects on His Time on 'The Flash'

Tobin Bell might be best known for his work in the Saw franchise, but it sounds like he had a great time on The Flash.

A few weeks ago, Bell appeared at a panel at Walker Stalker Con Atlanta. While he mostly discussed his prolific work in the horror genre, he briefly touched on his appearances in the hit The CW series, in which he voiced Dr. Alchemy and Savitar.

"I loved working on The Flash." Bell revealed. "They really develop your characters on that show. I played Dr. Alchemy and that ended up turning voicing Savitar. That voice work was fun to do."

As The Flash fans will remember, Bell's voice work was used to help disguise the identity of season three's biggest villains. Dr. Alchemy, the mystic, mask-wearing avatar who appeared in the first half of the season, ended up really being Julian Albert (Tom Felton).

And of course, Savitar's identity ended up being something else altogether, with the show's God of Speed really being an evil time remnant of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin).

Bell's casting in the series - which was largely uncredited throughout The Flash's third season - sparked just one instance of the Arrowverse enlisting some pretty impressive voice work. Candyman actor Tony Todd famously brought to life Flash's season two big bad Zoom, before he was ultimately unmasked as Hunter Zolomon (Teddy Sears). And Fringe's John Noble is currently voicing Mallus, the enigma of a villain on Legends of Tomorrow.
