Pokemon Go players have unlocked Ho-Oh as a final prize for beating last week's Global Catch Challenge.
Pokemon Go announced that Ho-Oh will appear as a Legendary Raid Boss from now through December 12th as a result of last week's Global Catch Challenge. Ho-Oh is the last Legendary Pokemon from the first two generations of Pokemon games to appear in Pokemon Go.
Thanks to all your hard work last week, Ho-Oh will appear in Raid Battles until 12/12! #PokemonGOtravel #GlobalCatchChallenge https://t.co/YfyBGwfTux pic.twitter.com/mdGoFByyQl

The announcement came just minutes after we reported that Ho-Oh could appear in the game in the coming days, as Pokemon Go's developers had added the Pokemon's assets to their servers.
As we predicted, Ho-Oh will not be a EX Raid Boss and will be available to all players...at least for the next two weeks.
Ho-Oh will be Pokemon Go's second strongest Pokemon, falling just behind Mewtwo in terms of highest potential CP. While Mewtwo has a much higher attack that Ho-Oh, the Fire/Flying-Type has stronger defensive stats.
With the release of Ho-Oh, it's hypothetically possible that players can have a full Pokedex...with the exception of the Mythical Pokemon Mew and Celebi and the Gen 2 Pokemon Delibird and Smeargle, both of which have unusual movesets.
We'll have a full rundown of how to beat Ho-Oh soon. In the meantime, get out there and catch Pokemon Go's newest Legendary Pokemon!
