The 2016 San Diego Comic-Con International is in full swing, and Day 2, Friday, brought a slew of exciting looks at highly-anticipated geek TV shows. So whether you're a Marvel, DC, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones fan (or likely all of the above), be sure you check back over the big developments from day 2 of SDCC.

1. Ghost Rider is Coming to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The rumors swirled for weeks before SDCC2016 - but now it is confirmed: Marvel is rebooting Ghost Rider in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and they are using Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to do it.

Ghost Rider will appear in season 4 of the MCU TV series; he will be adapted from a recent Marvel Comics reboot of the character, in which mechanic/street racer Robbie Reyes inherits the mantle of Ghost Rider from a demon named Eli who resurrects him from a fatal shooting. Actor Gabriel Luna (Wicked City) is playing Reyes, and on the Comic-Con show floor, Marvel unveiled the new Ghost Rider car in all its badass glory.

2. Walking Dead Season 7 Trailer Reveals New Characters

How do you give fans a taste of the new season when your last season ended on a character death cliffhanger? Well, The Walking Dead found a way to do it and make it pretty exciting, launching a full-length season 7 trailer that pushed way past the end of Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) bloody bat.

In this SDCC trailer we got a look at what life is like under rule of Negan (more sophisticated, but more fascist), and we got a look at an opposing king of zompocalypse world order: comic book fan-favorite character Ezekiel and his definite fan-fav pet tiger, Shiva. Ezekiel will be played by Teen Titans Go voice actor Khary Payton, while Shiva will be a CGI creation.

3. Wonder Woman Movie Poster

DC Comics and Warner Bros. have a big Saturday presentation featuring their DC Extended Universe films, with Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman set to be showcased at the panel. A Wonder Woman movie trailer has already been confirmed to show, an in anticipation of that event, DC/WB released this stunning poster of Gal Gadot as the Amazonian superhero.

4. The Killing Joke's Controversial Sex Scene

Batman: The Killing Joke is an attempt at animated adaptation of one of the darker and more adult Batman stories out there: Alan Moore's 1988 independent take on The Joker's origin story, which featured gruesome traumas for major characters like Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) and Commissioner Gordon himself. No wonder then, that the animated film has an R-rating.

As The Killing Joke made its world premiere at SDCC2016, fans learned that writer Brian Azzarello and director Sam Liu made some pretty controversial changes to the story - including a sex scene between Batman and Batgirl.

While the Batman canon purists are only between to raise debate about this surprising addition to The Killing Joke, Azzarello has already shared his thoughts on the matter, saying that the relationship makes Batgirl a stronger character in the story.

5. Game of Thrones Season 7 Preview

Game of Thrones was always going to play it close to the vest with its SDCC 2016 panel - especially now that the entire fanbase is in uncharted waters of plot developments and surprises. Still, seeing members of the cast on stage interacting with one another out of character and addressing all-too-enthusiastic fansbase is always cool.

One bit of info that we did sort of get: Bran Star will likely be visiting his half-bro Jon Stark to deliver a small bit of important news: you know, the whole "R+L=J" origin thing?

Honorable Mention: Injustice 2 Trailer

For you Comic-Con lovers who are also gamers: did you see the new Injustice 2 trailer footage? Gorilla Grodd and Blue Beetle were revealed to fans, and their combat styles were mighty interesting. Meanwhile, the Injustice version of Wonder Woman continues to kicks serious butt. Hope her movie trailer is just as awesome.
