Baby Groot Looks Adorable In New Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Still

To encourage more people to participate in Marvel Studios Hero Acts, a charitable initiative focused on bringing help and hope to kids around the world, a new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has been released and features a worried Baby Groot rocking a mini-Ravager costume. Aww!

Though this younger version of Groot doesn't have the wisdom and experience of the previous one, he makes up for with a new fun, rambunctious attitude and a cute-as-a-button appearance.

"He couldn't be more naive as Baby Groot," Vin Diesel, the actor who voiced the humanoid planet-like creature in the first film, explained to Collider. "I always think of the Groot that we saw on the first Guardians as a college-level Groot, so he's not fully grown yet, but he's a man. And once he sacrifices himself at the end of the movie, now he has to start all over, so to speak, but we're gonna see this goofy, adorable, baby Groot thing running around the screen and just learning as he goes."

Set to the backdrop of 'Awesome Mixtape #2,' Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn (Slither). The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora; Dave Bautista (Spectre) as Drax; Vin Diesel (Furious 7) as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper (American Sniper) as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker (Jumper) as Yondu; Karen Gillan (The Big Short) as Nebula; and Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls) as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff (Oldboy), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Everest), Chris Sullivan (The Knick, The Drop) and Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight, The Thing).
