Fans just got their best look yet at Brie Larson's Captain Marvel movie costume and it is remarkably comics accurate.
The new look comes from Marvel Cinematic Universe concept artist Andy Park, who tweeted out a low-res piece showing Larson's Captain Marvel costume in all its glory. Take a look below.
I don't mean to ignore all of u requesting the higher res of #CaptainMarvel I painted. Sorry but I can't ☹️When I get green light I def will pic.twitter.com/eAS3ccSEGm

Park explained that he hasn't gotten the okay from Marvel Studios to run a high-res version of the image just yet, but that it was forthcoming. Still, you don't need high resolution to see just how closely the movie's costume mimics Jamie McKelvie's design for Carol Danvers' Captain Marvel comic book costume.
Fans got their first real details concerning the Captain Marvel movie at Comic-Con International: San Diego in July, including their first glimpse at the film's costume. Much of the news was rather surprising, including that it would be a period piece set in the 1990s and that it will feature shape-shifting Marvel Comics alien race known as the Skrulls. Specifically, the film will be at least partly inspired by the classic 1970s Avengers storyline "The Kree-Skrull War."
Marvel also confirmed at Comic-Con International: San Diego that Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as Marvel's super spy Nick Fury for Captain Marvel.
Captain Marvel currently has a 3.67 out of 5 ComicBook.com User Anticipation Rating, making it the eleventh most anticipated upcoming comic book movie among ComicBook.com readers.
