Fate of the Furious already had the biggest global box office opening weekend ever, and now reports are in that the film has officially sped past the half a billion mark at the worldwide box office, thanks in part to a very impressive haul on Monday.
Deadline reports that Fate grabbed another $8 million in domestic earnings on Monday, the second-highest-earning earnings for an April film. It's domestic total now stands at $107.3 million, with a whopping $500 million in additional earnings, overseas.
Fate of the Furious continues to outpace Star Wars: The Force Awakens in terms of the earnings speed; by this time in that film's release, domestic earnings were $98.78 million and worldwide earnings were $529 million.
