RJ Cyler's Billy Cranston is very much the heart of the Power Rangers movie, but there's one scene in particular that even he was surprised to see.
Warning, heavy spoiler for Power
Cyler's character is a highlight, which makes his death at Rita's hands hit even harder later in the film. Cyler told ComicBook.com about the moment he first read that in the script, and it was definitely a surprise.
"I mean, well, Dean already kind of forewarned me, right? He was like, "Now, RJ, I'm going to tell you, you die." And I was like, "WHAT?!" He was like, "No, no, no, but you come back!" It's an important moment not only for Billy but also for Zordon and the other Rangers, serving as an important transition for everyone in the film.
