5 Boba Fett Tales That Would Make a Great Star Wars Story Movie
Rumors have returned that Boba Fett, a new 'Star Wars Story' standalone movie is back in [...]
Jango Fett: A Star Wars Story
Now hear us out. Yes, this is supposed to be about Boba, but what if they went back a bit further to explore what makes Boba Fett quite so impressive? That would be, of course, a look at Jango Fett, where we discover exactly why he was chosen as the template to the clones that would make up the Grand Army of the Republic.
It could be an intriguing movie, seeing Jango at his strongest, journeying across a galaxy full of Jedi, in an era before the Clone Wars brought everything crashing down. You could bring in Hondo Ohnaka, Aurra Sing, and even have some fun Mandalorian politics thrown in for good measure.

After the success of bringing a true war movie to the Star Wars universe with Rogue One, the temptation of going back to that particular well must be strong. Anchoring such a thing with two of their most popular characters, Darth Vader and Boba Fett, would only make too much sense.
In a Legends sotry, Vader hired Boba Fett around 12 years before the Battle of Yavin (the destruction of the first Death Star) to take the 501st legion and attack Kamino. Yes, that Kamino, the place that created the clone troopers - and Boba Fett himself. The Kaminoans were breeding new clones to fight against the Empire. Think Boba Fett as field general, leading the best of the best of the Empire against an army of Clones - for good measure, make them Clones off the original template, his father, just to really play with his head.

We don't know exactly what the Mandalorians think of the many clones of one of their own, or how much/willingly they'd even accept a clone like Boba (especially since it doesn't seem like they respected Jango all that much). Getting to see a young Boba Fett head to Mandalore after the Clone Wars, searching for some deeper link or meaning to his life, could be a real treat. We could throw in the first live-action appearance of the Darksaber, and even an appearance by Darth Maul, bringing him back to live action after his stints on The Clone Wars and Rebels. There's a lot of potential in expanding the lore of the Mandos (yeah, that was a pun), and using a popular figure like Boba Fett to do it.
Oh, and the movie, of course, shows Boba Fett getting his Mandalorian armor - earning it - in a triumphant moment.
prevnextBoba Fett and the Bounty Hunters
One of the earliest rumors about the "Star Wars Story" films was that Boba Fett's movie wouldn't just feature him, but several other famous bounty hunters from the Star Wars galaxy, including those from the Clone Wars and the original trilogy. A movie that brings Cad Bane to life would instantly be amazing, and throw in interactions with IG-88, more Bossk, maybe a little Embo, and you could have a lot of fun.
You could easily go one of two routes with this: either have them team up in a Suicide Squad style mission, all working to take down a bigger threat, or have them all competing for one bounty - maybe a lost Jedi that escaped Order 66 for example? A Jedi antagonist against a host of bad ass bounty hunters? Or you could pull a bit from "The Bounty Hunter Wars" Legends series, and pit Fett versus Prince Xizor.
prevnextBoba Fett Meets Han Solo
Now, this very well may be material covered in the Han Solo movie, but if they wind up really liking Alden Ehrenreich, then a full tale of Boba Fett and Han Solo squaring off for the first time could be an excellent follow-up. The idea is simple: Han Solo crosses the wrong gangster/politician/Imperial, and his first ever contract is put out on him: Boba Fett answers the call.
The story is told entirely from Fett's point of view, with Solo as a purely supporting character, as they chase each other across the galaxy, maybe even teaming up at one point or another to get out of a particularly bad scrape - it could be a nice way to build a mutual respect for the characters, giving a little background to why Fett would go so strongly after Solo years later.
