The new Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer is out, and it offers fans some pretty epic moments, along with some big teases about the dark twists that are coming to the saga in Episode VIII.
However, this being Star Wars there's one element that's almost as important as new story and character details: The Lightsabers!
In this full trailer for The Last Jedi we get a look at a particularly interesting Lightsaber; is this Kylo Ren's new Lightsaber design? Take a look for yourself:
Compared to the above image of Kylo Ren's Lightsaber hilt from The Force Awakens, it looks like this new version in The Last Jedi is much sleeker and refined, technologically speaking (hopefully the crossbar works better), as well as being a deeper and more complete shade of black. It speaks to Ben Solo's deepening descent into his Kylo Ren darkside persona, and the technological upgrades that bring him closer to Darth Vader.
Kylo Ren/Ben Solo will also sport some new cyber-mesh facial scars, and a new costume and cape combo, as well. Of the many questions that fans have after the latest Star Wars 8 trailer, one of the biggest is will Kylo Ren find redemption in this film? Or will he do the unthinkable by killing his mother, Leia?
We'll find out for sure when Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15th.
