Solo: A Star Wars Story will be hitting theaters in less than six months and, while it's not a part of the Skywalker Saga, the film might be the most intriguing upcoming release following public shifts in leadership. According to star Donald Glover, the replacement of directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller by Ron Howard had little impact on his experience with the film.

"It didn't really," Glover confessed to Deadline about how the director change-up impacted the film. "I think we were never faced with anything like that and he did a good job of coming in and didn't want us to change what we were doing at all. He wanted us to be comfortable with our vision."

Glover will be playing Lando Calrissian in the upcoming film, with the role previously having been played by Billy Dee Williams. When audiences met the character in The Empire Strikes Back, we learned that he had a history as a gambling swindler, yet confirmed to Han Solo that he had turned his life around to run things on Cloud City. The upcoming Solo, however, is sure to show Lando in his gambling prime.

Lucasfilm made the announcement in June that Lord and Miller were departing the project, despite the film reportedly only having three weeks of principal photography left. Filming resumed under Howard's leadership in July, with the film and its reshoots only wrapping up this past November.

As far as whether or not Howard's reshoots had a major impact on scenes which Glover already filmed for Lord and Miller, the actor confessed, "Not a ton."

Glover, who recently earned acclaim for the Atlanta TV series he created, seemed relieved to be able to focus solely on acting for Solo and let other duties fall on the rest of the cast and crew.

"It's weird. I didn't have a lot of stress on me," Glover pointed out. "This is the first time in a long time, I was just acting. Most of the time, I have to write or do music. This time I woke up and got to be somebody else and the stress wasn't there for me."

Glover's Atlanta series will be returning to FX in March.

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25.
