The upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story features the origins of some of our favorite Star Wars characters and their run-ins with the Galactic Empire, which could lead to some intense and thrilling sequences. Despite the potential for danger, Donald Glover, who plays a young Lando Calrissian, hints that the spinoff film might be the most fun chapter in the entire saga.

"I think it's just a lot more fun. All the Star Wars [movies] are really fun but I think this movie, we know what's going to happen, we know they're not going to die, ya know?" Glover told Entertainment Tonight of how the film compares to the rest of the saga. "We know, kind of, what happens, but how we got there, I guess, is the crux of it. So we're allowed to have a lot more fun than I think the other movies where you have to deal with a lot of the lineage in what's going to happen. I think this movie's, like, just a fun, summer film. I'm really excited about it. It's really cool."

Details about the film have been kept closely under wraps throughout most of production, with our first glimpses of the characters debuting earlier this month. Fans not only got to see the characters in action, but the performers also had the opportunity to shed insight on what to expect from the movie.

Unsurprisingly, Glover revealed that Billy Dee Williams, who played Lando in the original trilogy, offered the actor some advice which helped ensure the film would be fun.

"It was really, really relaxed. He was great. I mean, I had a lot of questions," Glover revealed to Entertainment Weekly about his meeting with Williams. "And then he just told me, just be charming. [Laughs] And so, I was like, 'Okay!' I just kind of did that. He said, 'Just be interested in things.' Lando has, I wouldn't say eccentric, but eclectic tastes. So I tried to work that into the role as much as possible."

The film's original directors, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, regularly lean heavily into comedy with their films, with Glover having previously shared that Ron Howard replacing the duo didn't have a big impact on the final product.

"It didn't really," Glover confessed to Deadline about how the director change-up impacted the film. "I think we were never faced with anything like that and he did a good job of coming in and didn't want us to change what we were doing at all. He wanted us to be comfortable with our vision."

Fans can see how fun Solo: A Star Wars Story is when it hits theaters on May 25th.
