It's Sunday! Fear the Walking Dead rolls on through its second season tonight with the twelfth episode, titled Pillar of Salt.

The official synopsis for Pillar of Salt reads, "Madison springs into action when one of the hotel residents gets violent. Meanwhile, at the Colonia, Alejandro shows a darker side of himself."

Last week, we followed Nick and Luciana on another adventure around Tijuana's Colonia which saw them get to know each other very well. In fact, they got to know each other so well that the prospective relationship between Nick and Ofelia was ruled out when he decided to lay with Luciana in an unexpected but largely welcome turn of events.

On the other side of the episode, which was titled Jessica & Pablo in memory of fallen loved ones, Madison, Strand, and Ofelia continued their search for sanctuary at the hotel but this time the fight wasn't only with walkers. The group had to negotiate their welcome with Oscar and his family who were betrayed by Elena when the world started to fall apart. More equipped to fight the dead, Madison offered to clear the hotel of walkers in exchange for a section of the building to keep herself and her friends in. Once the deal was reached, Madison, Elena, Alicia and Strand rounded up the walkers and lead them to the pier where they would fall into the ocean and be sucked out to sea.

This week's episode promises to further explore Nick's Tijuana adventures as we get to know Alejandro a bit more and continue to learn about his alleged immunity to the apocalyptic infection. Nick and Travis might be making their return but danger is definitely in the future for the father-son duo for a number of reasons. Not only because Chris is crazy, but also because the actor was recently cast on ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..

Threats will present themselves at unpredictable corners in Pillar of Salt, with the return of a character we have been missing for some time now and glimmers of hope among the chaos for others.
