Sometimes, fans think that Daryl Dixon has become so popular that the team at AMC would never see him killed off of The Walking Dead. However, a couple days ahead of the show's Season 7 premiere, the character finds himself at the mercy of Negan's vicious game of eeny-meeny-miny-moe.

Whether or not the character, portrayed by Norman Reedus, will be killed off in the premiere will be seen this Sunday night. But, if he does survive, the possibility of Daryl dying remains in the future, as well.

Speaking to Norman Reedus in an exclusive interview ahead of The Walking Dead's Season 7 premiere, ComicBook.com posed the question to the actor of whether or not he thinks the series will ever see him off.

"I think anybody could die on this show," Reedus said. "I think Rick could die. I think anybody could go on the show. I don't think anyone is safe ever on the show. I think they're really good at throwing you zingers out of nowhere."

As for how he would like to see Daryl go, given the option, Reedus wants something true to the character.

"I'd like him to just walk away and just walk away into the woods, and people go, 'Where the heck is that guy?'" Reedus said. "It's like, 'Oh, he gets shot.' 'Oh, he turns into a zombie.' 'They put him down.' We've seen all of that happen so many times. I think with Darryl, because he came in that way, I think he should go out that way. He should just walk away, and people are like, 'What ever happened to him?' Nobody knows. He's like the Outlaw Josey Wales or some s---."

Maybe he will just ride off into Ride with Norman Reedus Season 2.

The Walking Dead returns for its seventh season on October 23 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC. For complete coverage and insider info all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter.
