When audiences first met Han Solo in Star Wars, it was clear that the character had an interesting backstory. After all, you don't become the galaxy's slickest smuggler overnight. So when Lucasfilm and Disney announced that their second Star Wars anthology film would explore Han's days before Luke, Leia, and battles for galactic liberation, many wondered just when in Han's storied life that the movie would take place.
In a recent interview, Star Wars president Kathleen Kennedy finally pinned down just when audiences would re-meet Han for the standalone film. As Kennedy revealed, viewers won't see a Han Solo: Year One story, but something much closer to Han as we met him in the original Star Wars trilogy.
"He'll definitely be probably in the high teens, low 20s," Kennedy told Entertainment Weekly. "We're not introducing you to a 10-year-old Han Solo."
Hopefully, this means we'll see Han's first encounters with Lando Calrissian, the Millennium Falcon, and the Jabba The Hutt, amongst other key moments in the character's life.
