The search for the young Han Solo has reportedly been narrowed down to just one.
According to a report from Deadline, Alden Ehrenreich has emerged as the front runner for the role.
Ehrenreich emerged as a scene stealing star in Hail, Caesar!, but his other credits include Beautiful Creatures and Stoker. The list for the role, which has been surrounded by secrecy, previously included Kingsman star Taron Egerton and Transformers: Age of Extinction's Jack Reynor.
The Han Solo "Star Wars Story" film is set for release May 25, 2018 with The LEGO Movie's Chris Miller and Phil Lord in the director's chairs. The film will be the second of the "Star Wars Story" movies, after Rogue One hits later this year. The movies will hit stories outside of the "Episode" films that cover the Skywalker family's tale. Lucasfilm has confirmed that the Han Solo film will take place, like Rogue One and the animated series Star Wars Rebels, in the time between Episodes 3 and 4, and will deal with how Han Solo became the smuggler with a roguish grin we met in A New Hope.
