'Justice League' Fans Start Petition To Have Black Suit Superman Scene Released
Justice League has more petitions than just about any movie ever it seems, but the latest is one that many can probably get behind.
The newest petition involves one scene in particular, as opposed to an entire cut of a film. The scene in question is one that was recently revealed, which involved Henry Cavill wearing the black Superman suit. The suit first appeared in the Death and Return of Superman storyline in the 1990s, and a petition from Fan Zack da would like it to be released.
"The theatrical cut of JUSTICE LEAGUE was very different from the original vision of the director ZACK SNYDER," Fan Zack da writes. "The epic scenes he shot for the third act were cut from the movie due to keeping the movie length in check. Though, many fans signed the petition for the original Zack’s cut yet there has been no response on
There was plenty of hype for the black suit leading up to Justice League, but nothing surfaced in the final film. Director of Photography Fabian Wagner recently revealed though that footage was shot with Cavill in the suit.
"Yeah you know actually, to be totally honest I just can’t remember if we were shooting it as a test or if we were actually shooting it as a full scene with the suit. I definitely shot it, but I just can’t remember if it was more of a test or a full scene," Wagner said. "But definitely seeing the black costume was great. So I’m not 100% sure whether that would have been in the movie anyhow."
Regardless of test or final scene, fans would love to see it, so expect this petition to pick up some steam in the months ahead.
Justice League is currently in theaters.
