Rockstar Games' gorgeous L.A. Noire is making its way to VR with L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files, a new experience on the HTC Vive that includes signature cases from the game and an immersive experience that is completely new to the franchise. The game has officially been released into the wild for consumption, and its packed with interesting things to explore. To see what's in store for you, check out the trailer on the official website.

L.A. Noire was originally made for console, but the VR adaptation is packed with fun additions that make it unique on its own. It contains seven cases from the original L.A. Noire game, which Rockstar says were "rebuilt specifically for virtual reality, blending breathtaking action with true detective work to deliver an unprecedented interactive experience." The game uses an HTC Vive -- and only an HTC Vive right now, as opposed to previous rumors that said the game would be ready for the Oculus Rift as well. The VR tech does come with some high demands when it comes to what you'll need to run it, including the fact that you'll need an NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1080 8GB just to process the advanced graphics.

The title is Rockstar's first go at virtual reality entertainment, relying on the player to find clues within scenes and pick apart the dialogue of other characters in order to solve deadly crimes in classic Hollywood. Other updates to the game play include enhanced visuals, plus upgrades textures and effects. The game is made for interaction with motion controllers, giving players control over the things they pick up, which include a total of 500 updated props and custom hand motions that the player can control themselves.

L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files is available now for the HTC Vive.
