Nindies, which are what Nintendo calls the various independent games available in its catalog, have become a staple of the company and introduced players to hundreds of indie game studios since conception. To celebrate the new year, Nintendo has kicked off a limited-time sale on several various titles, cutting prices by up to 35% on some of 2017's most poplar indie games from the Nintendo eShop. The celebration extends beyond the games themselves to include a game giveaway, and a special Reddit AMA with all of the developers behind the games on sale.

Here's the list of titles that players can pick up, today through January 15th.

While these prices are just for US players, the sale extends to other shores, including those in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

Nintendo is offering players the chance to engage with all of the developers behind the roster of sale games in a special Reddit AMA, scheduled for today at 11 AM PST on the Nintendo Switch subreddit.

The highlight of the sale -- outside of the slashed prices themselves, of course -- has to be the special giveaway, which goes live on Thursday, January 11th. If you're not sure about picking these titles up right away, then fear not, because you have a chance to win every single one of them. Players who want to try their luck on the giveaway can enter using this special sign-up form, but must do so before the 11th. Prizes will be given via digital codes, which is not uncommon for indie titles, so don't expect any physical copies coming your way if you win.

Again, this sale has a limited run until the 15th, so make sure to take advantage of it before its gone.
